Jess Glynne in an XR music marathon for Antarctic protection — live performance, virtual scenery and broadcast production brought together during the pandemic.
Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, Only One Antarctica was an international music marathon supporting the protection of Antarctica. Working with Jess Glynne and the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC), our team brought live music into an immersive XR studio environment.
Alex Wolf led direction and creative production, connecting the performance with virtual Antarctic scenery. The production combined studio filming, large LED displays, camera tracking and real-time environments, allowing the landscape to change with the music.
The wider marathon also featured Julian Perretta, Ilya Lagutenko and other international artists. The result brought the immediacy of a live performance into a digital world, giving an environmental campaign a shared stage at a time when physical gatherings were restricted.
